HASSHIKI will participate in Re: STEAM FESTIVAL 2026, taking place at Taito City Shinobugaoka Junior High School on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

The event is a rescheduled edition of STEAM FESTIVAL 2026, which was originally planned for June 2026 but canceled due to severe weather. With a new date and venue, the festival returns with hands-on programs centered around STEAM education — Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics — offering participants opportunities to explore music, design, and technology through direct experience.

HASSHIKI will once again host VJ and DJ workshops.

In the VJ workshop, participants can experience audiovisual expression in which sound and visuals interact and transform in real time. Rather than simply “watching” images, they will control and manipulate them themselves, offering an introduction to digital art and live visuals.

In the DJ workshop, participants will mix, select, and manipulate sounds, shifting music from something they simply “listen to” into something they can actively create and control. It is a playful exploration of sound where technology and individual sensibility intersect.

The VJ and DJ workshops will be open from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with no advance registration required. Other programs at the festival include creating Bon dance music using GarageBand and designing traditional uchiwa fans.
