HASSHIKI will take part in TOKYO Bon Dance × STEAM FESTIVAL 2026, held over two days on Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27, 2026, centered around Takenodai Plaza in Ueno Park.
This event brings together Bon Odori, music, food, stage performances, and STEAM education in a cross-disciplinary festival originating from Ueno. By combining the festive energy of traditional Bon Odori and local community celebrations with music, technology, and creative learning, the event creates an open space of experience for both children and adults.
As part of the STEAM FESTIVAL program on Saturday, June 27, HASSHIKI will lead VJ Experience / DJ Experience sessions at Takenodai Plaza in Ueno Park.
In the VJ Experience, participants can explore audiovisual expression where sound and visuals interact in real time. Rather than simply “watching” images, participants will experience how visuals can change through sound and operation, offering an entry point into digital art and live visuals.
In the DJ Experience, participants will mix sounds and play with music, shifting their perspective from music as something to “listen to” toward music as something to “create” and “control.” It is an open sound-play experience where technology and sensibility intersect.
By bringing real-time sound and visual expression into Bon Odori, a cultural setting open to everyone, we aim to create an accessible entry point for children to encounter technology and creative expression.
