They possess a distinctive voice that transcends the framework of “language,” belonging neither to Japanese nor English.
Their voice, woven as if in resonance with the natural world, is both powerful and gentle. It envelops the listener and quietly reaches toward distant memories sleeping deep within the body.
Through their artistic practice, they hope that small moments of awareness — sharpening the senses and feeling our connections with nature and with one another — can enrich each person’s inner world and ultimately lead toward a more peaceful world.
They have collaborated with artists across a wide range of disciplines and performed in diverse settings, including shrines and temples, outdoor spaces, galleries, and live venues. Their work includes participation in S.T.K, the unit formed by SUGIZO of LUNA SEA and Tetra Tanizaki, as well as theme music for NHK E-Tele’s Oikonomia and NHK WORLD’s Japanology Plus. Their distinctive voice and artistic world have been presented both in Japan and internationally.
They released the album Kotohogi in 2008 and Iji in 2012.
